Chrome Green 02:57
Death metal tape machines Never record what I mean When I beat away on my tambourine Snorting up rotten cocoa beans Napping on private putting greens Sneaking my dreams on the silver screen Trampoline and submarine are two words That just don’t fucking glean Chrome green Oh man, the things I have seen Would drive you to have a cynical vision of the future Scantily clad Stroking the electro static shadow of a world gone mad Unshaven and disheveled Wiping up my blood with a lily pad I’m not threatening not ragging on plaid But I think I just saw your mom dead On the launching pad Chrome green Televised political routine Guides my brain and pokes my eyes With nothing in between Lost in landing gears, dude I’m stuck Burning wormwood sage too thick to think Chrome green And I hope by now you know what I mean Chrome green Unless you are still in the genital stage Still have your mind stuck in minimum wage Chrome green Chrome green Ah man, the curve of the earth is obviously based on the waves Chrome green Chrome green Oh man, the things that I have seen Chrome green Would drive you to have a cynical vision of the future Chrome green Oh man, you know what I mean?

She gave me the news over a mushroom salad Said she was bored and that she had had it Wasn’t a thought about repairing the damage There’s a whole new world out there for the grabbing I sat in the dark playing make believe spaceman Counting the ticks on the clock without seeing the hands Waiting for the storm outside to slip in Watching the driveway for headlights that never came My broken heart is lurking like a broken record The beat keeps skipping and the needle is so hard Plucking at the strings with a pick and an ebow A sad dank sound of a fading gray rainbow Watching the driveway for headlights that never came If the morning ever comes I will be ready This whole damn scene ended something pretty heady Bit by bit we always knew I was lead heavy Only this time it’s my pillow not my bed that I am wetting This time it’s my pillow not my bed that I am wetting Watching the driveway for headlights that never came Watching the driveway.

A hint of perfume on the breeze A shadow of a stranger Now she lives in a memory Surfacing for air Pour another song out in her name Even though she'll never hear Spend another night alone at home A silent unnoticed Christ Carry me to another time Hydrocarbons and electro transports These mash notes dripping in perfume They won't explain away

I miss the days when rock would save us Or so we were told Whatever sold Buried in sound We enter into a new tradition Cheers and beers For what came before If I have to die I want to make some noise first

Last of the line Two million years have all led to this The sun sets on mankind for the last time The universe is cold and alone God's plan incomplete Trees fall, and no one hears Wind crying in an empty lot Dust devils whirl and dance No more Adams, just a single Eve Dusk falls across the sky The rain falls so listless running down the window panes The devil triumphant, his dream realized Bleak and bleary eyes aloft into waning light

It's Alright 01:56
When the teeth are done separating You got a sad situation such a sad situation The left knob is subjective yet controls the station You’re alright yea yea oh yea You can tell me things are hopeless And the tooth isn’t right Too many minutes line up when you bite down I’m swimming in corn You can sigh inside of my hands Keep smiling your thoughts for me I do wish I could be more like you But I don’t believe I have the time I believe you half the time It’s alright You’re not gonna go to school It’s alright You’re not gonna bore this town anymore.

about

Todd Gunderson and I originally connected through a podcast that I was doing at the time called “Typhoid Radio” which celebrated the underground and unsigned local bands that I loved. Todd submitted a project he was playing bass in, Terwilliger Curves, for consideration and I LOVED the band. We managed to stay in communication, and after some time passed, Todd sent me what he referred to as a “vault o’ noise”: Thirty some odd recordings from several of his solo projects. The tracks were noisy, chaotic, lo-fi, grainy, drenched in samples, and incredibly interesting. I spent the next year poring over these tracks, finding loops, combining tracks together, adding bass/synth/guitar/drums/vocals, and so on. At the end, we had close to 20 tracks of noisy goodness. This collaboration gave me license to explore noises, textures, and moods more so than I had before.

about

Jesus on the Moon Puyallup, Washington

Jesus on the Moon is a collection of lo-fi songs I've been recording in basements, garages, and bedrooms since 2005. Recently, Derek Reed joined the ranks and, with the help of a drum machine, we've started to bring the songs to the stage.
