The 15th 03:17
Reviewed, it seemed As if someone were watching over it Before it was As if response were based on fact Providing, deciding, it was soon there Squared to it, faced to it, it was not there Renewed, it fought As if it had a cause to live for Denied, it learned As if it had sooner been destroyed Providing, deciding, it was soon there Squared to it, faced to it, it was not there Reviewed, it fought As if someone were watching over it Before it had sooner been denied Renewed, it seemed As if it had a cause to live for Destroyed, it was later based on fact

Head On 02:15
As soon as I get my head round you I come around catching sparks off you I get an electric charge from you That second hand living it just won't do And the way I feel tonight I could die and I wouldn't mind And there's something going on inside Makes you want to feel makes you want to try Makes you want to blow the stars from the sky I can't stand up I can't cool down I can't get my head off the ground As soon as I get my head round you I come around catching sparks off you And all I ever got from you Was all I ever took from you And the world could die in pain And I wouldn't feel no shame And there's nothing holding me to blame Makes you want to feel makes you want to try Makes you want to blow the stars from the sky I'm taking myself to the dirty part of town Where all my troubles can't be found

Old Man 05:10
I want to be a movie teen Golden hair Silver screen With a dance at the end Try and try again The blood on my teeth is chocolate to me Chorus: Take it easy You're gonna work till you get old Much too tired To realize you're getting sold The beach is better than any job you can hold Bring your sweater The sun is down, it's getting cold I found my life Divided it up Like the tiny states on the basement rug I lost my soul in an even exchange For a pair of black eyes and a life on the open road

Don't come around here no more Whatever you're looking for Don't come around here no more I've given up, stop, I've given up, stop I've given up, stop, on waiting any longer I've given up, on this love getting stronger Don't come around here no more I don't feel you anymore You darken my door Whatever you're looking for Hey, don't come around here no more I've given up, stop, I've given up, stop I've given up, stop, you tangle my emotions I've given up, honey, please admit it's over Don't come around here no more Stop walking down my street Don't come around here no more Who did you expect to meet? Don't come around here no more Whatever you're looking for Don't come around here no more

Ex Con 05:52
Whenever I get dressed up I feel like an ex-con Trying to make good Suit jacket and tie Feel like such a lie When I go to your house I feel like I'm Casing the joint In the grocery store In line behind a mother and a child I'm going to take take that child I'm going to take take that child I'm going to take take that child Alone in my room I feel such a warmth for the community But out on the streets I feel like an ex-con Trying to make good Trying to make good Trying to make good

Won't you please let me go These words inside they hurt me so And I'm not the kind that likes to tell you Just what you want me to And you're not the kind who likes to tell me Just what you want from me I saw you this morning I thought that you might like to know I received your message in full a few days ago I understood every word that it said And now that I've actually read it you're going to regret And I'm not the kind that likes to tell you Just what you want me to You're not the kind that needs to tell me About the birds and the bees Do you find this happens all the time Crucial point one day becomes a crime And I'm not the kind that likes to tell you Just what you want me to And you're not the kind who likes to tell me I want you I want you I want you I want you

Jan lays down and wrestles in her sleep Moonlight spills on comic books And superstars in magazines An old friend calls and tells us where to meet Her plane takes off from Baltimore And touches down on Bourbon Street We sit outside and argue all night long About a God we've never seen But never fails to side with me Sunday comes and all the papers say Ma Teresa's joined the mob And happy with her full time job Am I alive or thoughts that drift away? Does summer come for everyone? Can humans do as prophets say? And if I die before I learn to speak Can money pay for all the days I lived awake but half asleep? A life is time, they teach you growing up The second sticking killed us all A million years before the fall You ride the waves and don't ask where they go You swim like Lions through the crest And bathe yourself on Zebra flesh I've been downhearted baby I've been downhearted baby Ever since the day we met, ever since the day we met

about

A collection of covers I've played live over the years, as well as a few of my favorite songs that I thought were so good I wish I'd come up with them.

This album was remixed and remastered in 2020. If you downloaded this album previously, I recommend you re-download the updated songs.

about

Jesus on the Moon Puyallup, Washington

Jesus on the Moon is a collection of lo-fi songs I've been recording in basements, garages, and bedrooms since 2005. Recently, Derek Reed joined the ranks and, with the help of a drum machine, we've started to bring the songs to the stage.
